Accident Compensation Corporation.

Event

An event is where the situation or thing gets out of control and people or other things are exposed to harm.

Good faith

A concept set out in the Employment Relations Act that describes positive ways of working and communicating between two groups e.g. workers and management.

Harm

Harm refers to the potential negative consequences or adverse effects that may result from a particular risk materialising.

Hazard

Hazards are situations or things that have the potential to cause harm to people, the environment or business.

An unwanted event that caused or could have caused, harm, damage or loss of some kind.

Officer

People with significant influence over the management of the business or undertaking, such as Directors, Chief Executives and Partners.

PCBU

Person (legal entity) Conducting a Business or Undertaking.
